Dear Friends

Looking forward to the next Cultural Affairs season I am struck by the myriad ways we approach performance. There has been a lot of conversation about performance on the internet, the ways audiences interact with performance, who do we follow on twitter etc... And, of course, there are a lot of performers you get to know on the web and then look for the opportunity to see them live. When our son was at college we used to Skype with him each weekend, which was great, but having him at the dinner table was so much better. I am still a fan of being I the same room with the performer(s) and love to experience performance in that way.. There is so much available but to be present is to win.
